Coproduction is when service users, their family members, carers, and supporters work in an equal and reciprocal manner with mental health professionals in the design, delivery, and evaluation of services.
Coproduction involves working together to develop ideas and make them happen.
Coproduction can help us make real-world, meaningful improvements to mental health services. This is achieved by sharing knowledge, skills, and experiences from different perspectives.
Multiple perspectives and types of expertise (i.e. clinical and lived experience) are combined. This means problems can be solved together.
Working in this way helps mental health services better meet the needs of their community. Everyone has the satisfaction in knowing that they are having their voice heard and respected.
We are coproducing courses and initiatives all the time. Simply email ARCHES Recovery College Admin Support (Matthew) at info@archesrecovery.ie or phone 087 342 9922 to learn about the coproduction opportunities available.
